Grace Sellwood

After practicing Pilates for many years I trained and gained my Pilates Matwork Teacher Training Qualification in 2013 with Pilates Foundation under the direction of Allison Swan. Since then I have taught weekly classes in the community for Cscape Pilates which is based in Penryn, Cornwall.

As I come from a movement background (professional dancer & aerialist), I like to bring a sense of flow into the classes, looking how exercises can naturally link up and create short sequences. I teach different levels, from complete beginners to advanced. 

I am particularly interested in teaching dancers, and using Pilates as a tool for maintaining conditioning for dance and also rehabilitation purposes. I also currently teach 3rd Year dance students as part of the Dance & Choreography course at Falmouth University. I also qualified as an Aerial Pilates teacher in 2018 with Air Control Pilates, some of you may have met me whilst teaching Aerial Pilates for Savvy Studios.

I bring a warm, approachable and down to earth style to my teaching. I’m very excited to be invited to be part of Savvy 4 life’s online program!
